An Update from SEF President Jill Lassen

As we begin 2026, we are pleased to reflect on a productive 2024–2025 school year and share exciting updates from the Sunnyvale Education Foundation.

 We kicked off the fall of 2024 by participating in North Texas Giving Day in September. SEF set a fundraising goal of $15,000, and thanks to the generosity of our community, we exceeded that target by raising $15,260. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who supported SEF through this important event.

 Also in the fall of 2024, SEF’s Grant Committee approved $59,447 in Spring 2025 teacher grants. When combined with the $88,634 approved earlier for Fall 2024, SEF awarded a total of $148,081 in grants for the 2024–2025 school year. These grants support innovative educational programs, and classroom needs that fall outside or exceed the district’s regular operating budget, enriching learning opportunities for students across all Sunnyvale ISD campuses.

 In the spring of 2025, SEF awarded 15 scholarships to SISD Seniors totaling $27,000.

 Looking ahead, we are excited to share details for the 2026 SEF Gala, themed “Going Places – Taking Education to New Heights.” The gala will take place on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at the Frontiers of Flight Museum. The evening promises to be an inspiring celebration in support of Sunnyvale students and educators. Tickets and sponsorship opportunities for the gala are now available. We are proud to recognize Gallagher Construction Company as our “Private Jet (Presenting) Sponsor” and Trinity Capital Bank as our “First Class (Title) Sponsor.” Additional sponsorship levels range from Economy Class to Business Class and offer a variety of ways to support classroom grants, teacher innovation, and student programs. Sponsors receive recognition both at the event and throughout the school year.
